Dimensional Tuning in Lead?Free Tin Halide Perovskite for Solar Cells
نویسندگان
چکیده
Due to its outstanding optoelectronic properties, halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs) power conversion efficiency has rapidly grown 25.7%. Nonetheless, lead poisoning is a significant hurdle the deployment of (PSCs). Tin most alternative with potential due similar electric and electronic properties less hazardous nature. Yet, performance Sn-based PSCs lags significantly below that Pb-based Sn (II)'s easy oxidation (IV). Incorporating large-sized organic cations form quasi-two-dimensional (2D) structured-tin perovskites increases stability PSC. In addition, hydrophobic group quasi-2D structure inhibits moisture oxygen from penetrating absorber layers. This review analyzes evaluates characteristics such as Ruddlesden–Popper, Dion–Jacobson, alternating cation interlayer (ACI). work further proposes strategies improve tin-based PSCs, including constructing new mixed 2D/3D structures, enhancing transmission capacity, novel cations, fabricating ACI structures controlling strain.

Elusive Presence of Chloride in Mixed Halide Perovskite Solar Cells.
The role of chloride in the MAPbI3-xClx perovskite is still limitedly understood, albeit subjected of much debate. Here, we present a combined angle-resolved X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (AR-XPS) and first-principles DFT modeling to investigate the MAPbI3-xClx/TiO2 interface. AR-XPS analyses carried out on ad hoc designed bilayers of MAPbI3-xClx perovskite deposited onto a flat TiO2 substra...
متن کاملRecent progress in efficient hybrid lead halide perovskite solar cells
The efficiency of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) has been improved from 9.7 to 19.3%, with the highest value of 20.1% achieved in 2014. Such a high photovoltaic performance can be attributed to optically high absorption characteristics and balanced charge transport properties with long diffusion lengths of the hybrid lead halide perovskite materials. In this review, some fundamental details of h...
متن کاملSlow Cooling of Hot Polarons in Halide Perovskite Solar Cells
Halide perovskites show unusual thermalization kinetics for above-bandgap photoexcitation. We explain this as a consequence of excess energy being deposited into discrete large polaron states. The crossover between low-fluence and high-fluence "phonon bottleneck" cooling is due to a Mott transition where the polarons overlap (n ≥ 1018 cm-3) and the phonon subpopulations are shared. We calculate...
متن کاملWhat Is Moving in Hybrid Halide Perovskite Solar Cells?
Organic-inorganic semiconductors, which adopt the perovskite crystal structure, have perturbed the landscape of contemporary photovoltaics research. High-efficiency solar cells can be produced with solution-processed active layers. The materials are earth abundant, and the simple processing required suggests that high-throughput and low-cost manufacture at scale should be possible. While these ...
متن کاملOptical Description of Mesostructured Organic-Inorganic Halide Perovskite Solar Cells.
Herein we describe both theoretically and experimentally the optical response of solution-processed organic-inorganic halide perovskite solar cells based on mesostructured scaffolds. We develop a rigorous theoretical model using a method based on the propagation of waves in layered media, which allows visualizing the way in which light is spatially distributed across the device and serves to qu...
